We've gathered a set of guidelines to ensure that your stay at the Franciscan Retreat Center is safe, comfortable, and pleasant.
We have had the privilege of serving many diverse groups at the Franciscan Retreat Center. We've compiled what these guests thought about their stay.
Services & Amenities
-
We welcome people of all denominations as well as non-profit and business groups.
-
Audio/visual equipment provided for conference rooms at no extra charge.
-
Complimentary morning coffee & tea service with all meeting room rentals.
-
We offer three meals a day in our lovely Guest Dining Room. Gluten-free and regular vegetarian (will eat fish and dairy) options are available upon pre-order.
-
Continental breakfast, box lunches, or deli-tray meals can be served in your meeting room.
-
Daily Mass is held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish located on the campus grounds. (No Mass on Mondays.)
-
Many church groups conduct their own services in their meeting areas or on the outside grounds.
-
Our guest rooms are simple, yet comfortable. Most rooms have two twin beds and most all have private bathrooms.
-
Over 160 acres provide the opportunity for relaxing meditative walks and beautiful views of Blodgett Peak and Mt. Cedar.
-
A Labyrinth and Peace Park were recently re-landscaped for times of quiet comfort and reflection.
-
Native rock walls built 100 years ago surround the campus and are the primary construction of all our buildings.
-
We are known for our abundant wildlife.
-
TOURS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We are not able to accommodate walk-in tour requests as we cannot provide tours when the facilities are in use. Schedule your tour in advance.
-
The Retreat Center guest sleeping rooms are quite comfortable.
-
Guest rooms do not have televisions or phones. Wi-fi is available at no charge.
-
There are no elevators in our facilities. Our largest building has 2 flights of stairs. It is important when making a reservation you let the receptionist know if you need a first floor room.
-
Because of the age of our buildings, it is cost-prohibitive to retro-fit for ADA compliance. We have ramps available on the grounds but sometimes navigation via wheelchair can be difficult.
-
Our Guest Dining Room is approximately a100-yard walk from our main building.
-
Since we are a retreat center, we are not staffed 24-7. Typically front-desk staff is available 8:30 am-5 pm M-F, and varying times on weekends based on occupancy.
-
CHILDREN: The Retreat Center welcomes children, however, because of our unique atmosphere children often find themselves a bit bored and being quiet can be challenging, especially for babies and toddlers. We ask that you make your decision to stay based on the comfort of our other guests who are seeking a “retreat experience.”
-
All of our buildings are non-smoking. This includes vaping. Smoking is allowed in outside areas. Marijuana, although now legal in Colorado, is still prohibited under federal law and is not permitted on campus.
